It's Sunday night and I'm sitting here wishing time wouldn't go by so fast. Our "educational consultant" will be around tomorrow and Tuesday- ugh! I wouldn't be so bothered by it, but it's a nuisance. She and the principal come in for 5-10 minutes and observe, score what they see, etc. And we don't get any feedback. What good is that? The first time she was in my room she spent 30 minutes while my kids were writing and she wrote the whole time. I never heard anything back. Don't know if she was writing a To Do List, grocery list, this teacher is awesome, or this is the worst teaching I've ever seen. It's a bit frustrating, but at least it only happens once a month. sorry for complaining. I'm sure this will still be a fun week and I'm looking forward to "Suess-ifying" (is that a word?) my room a bit.
We went to see my brother yesterday for his birthday and planned to watch the Daytona 500 today but it was postponed to tomorrow because of rain. So it's been a nice relaxing weekend and I didn't go to school at all. That was a nice break too. Our Patriotic Program was Friday so last week was super busy getting ready for that. My class and 2 others sang Yankee Doodle, This Land is Your Land, and the Star Spangled Banner. They did a great job and looked so cute up there on stage with their little red, white, and blue hats on.
I wanted to work on blog today to change it to 3-columns but I'm having some trouble finding the gadget with my background in it so that will have to wait.
Have you seen Laura's post about having permission to pin from Pinterest? Apparently an article she read says we own the rights to images we are pinning and we grant full rights to Pinterest to use those images. So she has a button you can pick up and add to you blog so everyone will know whether or not it's okay to have people pin images from you blog. You can read more about her button
