We went to see my brother yesterday for his birthday and planned to watch the Daytona 500 today but it was postponed to tomorrow because of rain. So it's been a nice relaxing weekend and I didn't go to school at all. That was a nice break too. Our Patriotic Program was Friday so last week was super busy getting ready for that. My class and 2 others sang Yankee Doodle, This Land is Your Land, and the Star Spangled Banner. They did a great job and looked so cute up there on stage with their little red, white, and blue hats on.
I wanted to work on blog today to change it to 3-columns but I'm having some trouble finding the gadget with my background in it so that will have to wait.
Have you seen Laura's post about having permission to pin from Pinterest? Apparently an article she read says we own the rights to images we are pinning and we grant full rights to Pinterest to use those images. So she has a button you can pick up and add to you blog so everyone will know whether or not it's okay to have people pin images from you blog. You can read more about her button
on her blog
Thanks, Laura!
So for now I'm adding that to my blog. Pin away, please! That's a very minor change to my blog. The 3-column thing will have to wait a few days till I can figure it out.
Have a wonderful week, everyone!

I always feel the urge to walk up to the PAL or ANYONE who comes into my room while I am teaching! If it looks like we are doing something off the wall {which we usually are because we are goofy}, I want them to know why, how it relates, and what they did before we started that....
ReplyDelete..but it never works out that way~ it always ends up that someone is running with scissors, I am sitting at my desk and there are "Sweeties" standing in chairs!!!!

Thanks so much! It made me smile to read your sweet comment. They came in and only stayed 5 minutes. My kiddos were really involved in a rhyming activity so that was good. Thanks again.

Miss Squirrel, I know what you mean. Everytime our principal comes in I have just finished a lesson, am at my desk about to call a student back, or the room looks chaotic to someone who doesn't know what is going on.
ReplyDeleteI understand. Luckily my students were working hard when they walked in this time. I sometimes wonder what they think is going on when they walk in. Thanks for stopping by.

Chrissy - that happens once a month?!?! Geesh and I thought our twice a year thing was ugly. LOL We have all the big wigs come in about 2 x's a year. Sometimes 7 of them with clipboards writing and watching some with a poker face might I add. It can be so intimidating sometimes. But...we get feedback which I like and it's nice. Hope it all goes well...thinking of you.

We only have 2 people come through most of the time. 7 would make the room feel so crowded. I'm happy for you that it's only twice a year.
DeleteThanks for the kind thoughts.
Thanks,Vicky. Things went well. They only stopped in for 5 minutes this time. They like to ask the kids what they're doing and I was glad they picked one of my really sharp kids- he gave them a really good answer.
