Common Core Giveaway!

Happy Sunday! It's so nice to know I get to stay home tomorrow. I just finished the first week and a half of school and I'm tired. This weekend is just what I needed. If you read my recent post, you know my first 2 1/2 days was crammed with getting new students and having students leave. This past week I had same 22 kids every day. Then, after I let the kids go Friday afternoon saying "See you Tuesday!",  I got back to the office and found that one little girl wasn't coming back. She's going to a different school where her cousins go. Does that happen to other people? I really don't think this little girll even knew it was her last day, and if her grandparent knew, she didn't say anything when she picked up the little girl either. I was so sad! She was so sweet and I would have told her I'd enjoyed having her in my class and wished her luck. So.... I'm back to 21 students. I haven't had a revolving door like this since my first year in this district. And I've never had so much of it so early. Hopefully things settle down soon.
I'm off to school for a while this morning. I have to laminate my homework folders so I can send them home Tuesday. For now I'm enjoying some blogstalking I haven't been able to do in a while. If you're implementing Common Core this year, you should check out this giveaway. It look incredible!
There's a checklist from Rachel, Standards posters from Deanna Jump, Word Walls and Essential Questions from Anna Brantley, and assessments from Jodi. Wow!
Have a great rest of your weekend!
