Vegas, baby! (+BUMP game freebie)

Yep, that's right, I'm Vegas bound! I'm so excited to be going to the I Teach K conference! My best teacher friend is coming too. I'm looking forward to the amazing workshops I registered for and to meeting many new friends that week! Maybe some of you who participated in the Alphabet Exchange will be there too.

Thinking of Las Vegas makes me think of dice games and this little game I made for a friend who was decorating her classroom in zebra print. So I thought I'd share it with you. Just click on the picture to grab it if you want.

You probably know how to play, but just in case here are some quick directions:
each player needs 10 markers (one color for each player. I use linker cubes.). Each pair of students needs one game board and 2 dice. Player 1 rolls, adds the numbers and puts one of his/her markers on the sum. Player 2 does the same. However, if a player gets a sum that is already covered by an opponents marker, that player can "bump" the other person's marker off the circle. If a player rolls a sum that is covered with one of his/her own markers, that player can add another of their markers to "lock" that space as their own. The first player who uses all of hi/her markers wins the game.

Have fun! Hopefully I'll see some of you in Las Vegas!
